Right, then. I know you're curious about my name. Or at least, if I were you, I would be. I know you're thinking, "Why does her name mean Monday in Quenya?" Come on, admit it. You're just too polite to ask.
So, I'll tell you. First off, it has nothing to do with an author, all right? It was my mom, not an author like the author of that one Sue "Elenya" I heard about. So, my mom wanted to name her children in a logical manner. After the day of the week we were born on, specifically. She drew up lists for every day, in preparation. Because she's an incredible overachiever about everything, she had these lists drawn up well before she was aware it was going to be a multiple birth. She knew that there would be more than two of us by the end of the third trimester, but Dad couldn't convince her to change her strategy, ho no. And then, we ended up being octuplets. Poor Monday was the youngest; by then, the list was exhausted.
If the name "Monday" sounds familiar, it's because she's a DCPS agent. She's identical to me, so if you see someone who looks like me but doesn't respond right away to "Isilya" you're probably talking to her. She's the one I'm closest to, not just because of the identicality, but bedcause we work together. Well, in the same place. And as it's hard to get vacations from headquarters, we just never see any of the rest. Her name's Monday because she was born last. To be fair about the names, they were assigned based on birth order and gender. I was the oldest girl, so I got Isilya. I can travel anywhere I want without getting odd stares, unlike the others. Monday was the youngest, and all the other ones that could be a girl's name were taken by the time they got to her. She can't go anywhere in the world *without* getting odd stares.
Lunes has it almost as bad off, though. Especially since he got a job that requires him to spend a lot of time in Spanish-speaking countires. Sometimes he comes here to visit me and Monday -- we've always been closer to him than any of the others, so it's nice that we haven't lost contact with him. He's thinking about getting a job here, but he's not sure. The distinct lack of native Spanish-speakers here is a defeinite plus, though. He doesn't like killing, but I keep telling him he should work in a department that only requires excorcism, or that doesn't even involve going into fics too much.
Lundi is identical to Lunes, but we haven't seen him in ages. He went to Peru with Lunes once. He loved it, as no one he met spoke French. Lunes, of course, hated it. Lunes wnt home as soon as his conference was over. Lundi stayed, purportedly for "a week, to get to know the country a bit more." He sent Monday and me a postcard saying that he was glad that no one was asking him if his name was "Martes" any more. We didn't show that to Lunes. Then he met a native woman, married her, and never came back to the states. Last we heard from him he had several happy children, and we "should all come down to visit sometime." This was after me and Monday got jobs at Headquarters, though, and didn't feel that we could take that much time off. And Lunes won't go back to Peru for anything.
Montag's the second oldest by a whole half hour. He moved to France and promptly became an accountant. Don't ask me why. He's just my brother. Maybe they had an accountant shortage, or something.
Yomshaynie's an artist. I think. She moved to Finland. She likes Finnish saunas, apparently.
Diluain married some executive-type. He had to go to Canada to do it, though. Stupid Bush. *growls*
The next oldest girl, after me -- and thus the one with the second-best name -- is Orithil. She used to be friends with Monday and me. We were inseperable. Tolkien geeks would say, "Isilya and Orithil? Mom a Tolkien geek?" Then they'd call us "Monday-girls", and then they'd look at Monday and have an epiphany. Yes, those were the good ol' days. We drifted apart after I joined the PPC, though. I just never saw her. When Monday joined the DCPS, she told me Orithil'd taken to writing fanfic. And then . . . well, we don't talk about that any more. But I transferred to Tamora Pierce right after.
Oh, shoot . . . stupid console. Can't you see I'm blogging? Oh, of course you can't, you stupid machine.
"Sahnzi's Scrolls". This could be interesting. I've never read a fic about Scrolls before. Can a scroll be Sueified? Or . . . oh, no. No, no, no. I do not need this. Not without a partner.
I'll be back soon. This atrocity calls for quick termination.

I don't know why I'm starting this. I honestly don't. I've heard that blogs are incredibly addicting, and what with the huge workload that comes from killing Mary Sues in a fandom that consists solely of adolescent girls.
If the SO doesn't assign me a partner soon, I'm going to kill something. And it won't be a 'Sue.
Hmmm . . . I wonder if agent_dafydd will loan me some dynamite? He *is* from the DOGA, after all . . .
